Springers Gymnastics is committed to providing the highest standards of safety measures possible to create a healthy environment for our staff and members. We will continue to monitor and adjust our policies in response to guidelines in place by the Government of Manitoba and the Manitoba Gymnastics Association.
The following are the health and safety procedures Springers Gymnastics has in place at this time:
Amount of classes in the gym have been significantly reduced each day to allow for social distancing between gymnasts.
Separate entrance and exit doors to avoid congestion (front door entrance, west side door exit).
Staggered class times to reduce traffic flow.
Screening process for all members and staff upon arrival. Screening will involve;
Any individual who does not pass the screening criteria will not be permitted inside the facility and will be advised to immediately self isolate and contact Health Links or their health care provider.
Any individual experiencing any symptom (or symptoms) suggestive of COVID-19 should stay home and not enter the facility. Those with symptoms should be tested and if negative for COVID-19 can return 24 hours after symptoms resolve. If an individual chooses not to be tested they should self isolate for 14 days from symptom onset and may return if symptoms have resolved at that time. A current and up to date list of symptoms can be found at http://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/about/index.html
If a gymnast becomes symptomatic while they are at the facility, they will be provided a disposable mask to wear and will be removed from their group. A parent/guardian will be contacted and will be expected to pick up the child immediately.
There will be no refunds or make up classes if your child misses due to illness.
All individuals must sanitize hands upon entry. Sanitizing stations are also set up around the facility and will be encouraged frequently.
Green X’s are used throughout the facility to help with social distancing, as well as markers throughout the gym.
All gymnasts will receive a bin upon arrival for storage of all personal belongings. Bins are sanitized after each use. Changerooms will NOT be available for use. Washrooms are still open.
Gymnasts should have their own water bottle, as the water fountain will not be in use. Please ensure it is labelled clearly with your child's name. Any water bottles left at the end of each week will be thrown out.
Masks will be required in all lobby, waiting and viewing areas for all individuals in Grade 4 and up. Gymnasts are not required to wear their mask inside the gym, but are welcome to do so if it makes them more comfortable. Disposable masks will be available to purchase for $1 for those that forget to bring their own.
All coaches will be wearing masks in the gym when social distancing is not possible. Our coaches will be spotting for safety purposes only.
Parents/guardians of school aged children will not be permitted into the facility unless prearranged for a specific purpose. Viewing areas are only open for parents/guardians of preschool aged children which includes the following classes:
Only 1 parent/guardian is permitted into the facility with their child for the preschool aged programs.
Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures are completed daily. Equipment is disinfected between each group. High touch surfaces (door knobs, railings, etc) are disinfected frequently throughout the day. The gym is also fogged with a disinfectant daily after hours.
Registration fees will not be refunded after three scheduled gymnastics classes have taken place. If you would like to withdraw your child from their class, a $45 administration fee will apply, plus a charge per class. Any training fees paid that are not eligible for refund cannot be credited or transferred. In the event of any program cancellations for reasons beyond our control such as a global pandemic, refunds will NOT be issued. A credit for any missed classes will be applied to your account. All fundraising fees are non-refundable.
Guidelines and policies may be adjusted based on emerging circumstances and information from public health officials.
